MDQ colloquium
Every now and then, Ahmed Abdulkadir (abdk) and Philipp Denzel (denp) organize an MQD colloquium (Methods Done Quick). Generally, but not necessarily, this happens on Tuesdays just before lunch and lasts at most 15 min. Its main purpose is to informally update everyone on the latest research at the CAI, discuss ideas and results, learn from each other, and perhaps identify synergies.
Note
The organizers always look for new volunteers, so if you would like to present your latest work or a new idea that you constantly think about, let them know! Otherwise, they might approach you eventually…

Except for the strict time limit of 15 min, the form of the presentation is free. However, the organizers recommend to prepare a few slides and illustrations to introduce the audience to the topic which may be less familiar to them. The time can be split freely as well, e.g. 12 min talk and 3 min Q&A. By design the colloquium happens just before lunch time, so that discussions and questions can be carried on during lunch.
